Contributions to the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) including the recovery and enhancement of Haiti’s Warning services for Coastal Hazards
The United States funding of 224,407 USD contributed to the IOC’s work on ocean observations as well as capacity development for the Tsunami Early Warning Systems.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) contributed $601,443 in funding to UNESCO in support of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO.
International Workshop on Seismicity and Earthquake Engineering in the Extended Mediterranean Region
United States Geological Survey (USGS) contributed 100,000 USD in support of the project "International Workshop on Seismicity and Earthquake Engineering in the Extended Mediterranean Region" that is hosted by the Middle East Technical University, Ankara Turkey, and sponsored by UNESCO and USGS.
The United States has contributed 100,000 USD in support of the project “Enhancing the Engineering Component within UNESCO for Sustainable Human Development”.
