Google and UNESCO Announce Virtual Visits to World Heritage Sites
On December 3, Google and UNESCO announced a strategic alliance to allow virtual visits to nineteen World Heritage sites, with more to follow next year. Sites inscribed on the World Heritage List - the Palace of Versailles in France, the historic centre of Prague in the Czech Republic and the old town of Cáceres in Spain, for example - can now be explored online.
